Trouble to use IT?

IT is most tricky pronoun to use, we all make mistakes while using it. Most of us think that IT, we only use to define Things however here are 6 easiest ways to use it.

IT is a subjective pronoun as well as an objective pronoun for example

A. It is easy to say but difficult to do.

B. The movie was hilarious! We really liked it.

In sentence A, IT was used at the place of the subject that's why it's called a subjective pronoun.
In sentence B, IT was used at the place of the object that's why it's called an objective pronoun.

So let's get started with the first use,

1. Non- living things

Non- living things are those which don't have feelings, emotions and can't even move their own like a chair, table, fan, cupboard and etc...

It's my pen which you have.

It's a broken chair, Don't sit!

( Note:- It's is a short form of It is or It has)

2. Animals

Generally, for the animal we use IT, but in animals' stories, you may have read he and she used for the animal because the writer can change grammar rule in order to create a great literary work. If you have been given an essay on the animal so you would use IT.

It is a loin the king of the jungle.

Python is a nonvenomous snake but it can kill a human under its coil.

3. Weather

For defining the weather and the season like cold, hot, rain, summer, spring, winter, autumn and etc. We use IT.
For example

It's bitter cold in January.

It's smoggy weather in Delhi during the winter season.

4. Time

To indicating time we also use IT for example

It's 8 o'clock, we need to go now.

It was 26th January 1950, when our Constitution was implemented.

5. Baby

We use IT with the baby when the gender of the baby is unknown for example

Whose baby is it?

It's a chubby baby, what's its name?

(Note:- Its - NOT It's
IT, we also use with transgender )

6. Situation

The situation can be good and bad as well but here we use IT as the act of doing the favour, blaming someone and point out someone or something.

It's you who stole my money.  ( blame )

It was your father who helped him in his hard time. ( favour)

It was the Prime Minister who announced demonetisation. ( point out)
